Utrecht University has again reaffirmed its reputation as a leading international research university. In the prestigious list of the top 100 universities in Europe compiled by the Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, the university was ranked 6th – the same position it held last year. No other Dutch university placed higher. Worldwide, Utrecht University was ranked 41st out of more than two thousand research universities.
